The growth of FAIR’s regional networks and actual media output in East and West Africa is without doubt the result of its 2010 regional conferences, which were for many colleagues the first time to interact with this performance-based association. The challenge for 2011 will be to add the southern African region to its conference programme and to provide conference and network services for its lusophone members in Mozambique and Angola, who have been missing out because of the language barrier.
